Chapter: 1733
In the corridor, they passed a couple deeply engaged in a passionate kiss, oblivious to the world.
Camila was speechless at the sight, turning her gaze away with a blush.
Isaac noticed her reddened face and couldn't help but smile.
She was still so innocent.
They eventually left the club and got into the car.
Just as Camila started the engine, a thought struck her. She turned to Isaac. "You're not drunk, are you?"
Isaac suddenly didn't know what to say and remained silent.
"You tricked me," she accused, a hint of playfulness in her voice.
“Liar. I'm not going to trust you again.”
“If you don't trust me, then who can you trust?"
Isaac questioned, gently turning her to face him. “Actually, I am really drunk."
Then he leaned closer.
As Isaac's lips drew nearer, Camila fought the urge to pull away and stood still.
His lips brushed against hers briefly, warm and gentle, before he drew back.
Isaac wasn't pushy. He understood it would take time for Camila to return to her old self.
Then, Camila rolled down the car window, letting in a rush of fresh air.
She felt more alert, started the engine, and drove off.
Suddenly, she recalled the day's events at the research center and asked, “Are you still mad about it?"
"Mad about what?"
"I didn't let you deal with Hyman's matter," Camila clarified.
