Chapter: 1896
"What's wrong?" Isaac asked, alarmed by the sudden change in her demeanor.

Camila declared, "I need to go to the research institute to deal with my work right now.”

Isaac offered, "Let me drive you-"

“No," Camila interjected firmly. “Both you and Alick must be very busy. I've arranged for Eagle to drive me."

With that, she exited the car and climbed into another waiting vehicle.

As Isaac approached her car, Camila rolled down the window, meeting his gaze. "I'll be back once I'm done," she assured him.

Isaac's gaze softened. “If you encounter anything you can't handle, don't hesitate to ask for my help.”

Camila nodded in agreement before turning to Eagle. “Let's go!"

The car pulled away, and Camila's anxiety grew as she constantly checked the time during the journey.

After more than 30 minutes, they arrived at the research institute's gate.

Stepping out of the vehicle, Camila was greeted by Hyman. “Camila, you've arrived just in time," he exclaimed.

Camila wasted no time, striding purposefully alongside him, demanding, "What's the situation?"

"I'm not really sure. Dr. Lance refused to sign the contract, completely ignoring our agreement from last time," Hyman said as he tagged along behind Camila.

Previously, before Camila left, the chief engineer had introduced her to Rugal Lance, who was a pro in controlling the technology for the production of @.03 millimeters-thin materials.

Camila had offered to buy the technology, or he could join their research institute if he wanted to.

They had agreed that he would sell it to her.

But Rugal suddenly became unwilling to let the transaction happen.

Camila's brows were knitted.

"Is he presently in the institute?" she asked.

"Yes, he arrived not quite long ago to see you. I've arranged your meeting in the conference room."
