Chapter: 1897
Camila walked briskly towards the conference room.

Upon reaching the conference room door, she forcefully pushed it ajar.

The spacious conference room was empty, except Rugal, who was seated there.

He rose to his feet as soon as he saw her at the door.

Camila said in a calm and composed voice, "Hyman, two glasses of water, please."

After saying that, she took quintessential steps into the room.

She smiled at him as she said, "Did you wait for too long? I'm sorry I was held up for a moment. Please have a seat."

Rugal didn't look old at all.

He looked under forty, and wore black-rimmed glasses.

He had the ambience of an educated man with a touch of old fashion.

"I came to see you and personally apologize. Forgive me, but I can't sell the technology to you anymore."

Camila comfortably sat and asked, “Why? Do you have a problem with the money? Is it too small? I can add more money. Just name your price."

"I'm sorry," he said as he shook his head.

She stared at him for some seconds, after which she said, "My instinct tells me you are a man of your word. Something must have made you change your mind. Why don't you sit and tell me about it? I might be able to help. I have all the time in the world."

Sincerely speaking, he never expected her to say that.

For a moment, his thoughts wavered.

But he found it difficult to explain himself.

There he was, caught in a dilemma.

Camila was in no rush. She patiently waited for him to speak.

Just then, Hyman walked in with tea.
