Chapter: 2006
Camila shot him a stern look. "Be serious. I'm being sincere here. I don't want you to face criticism for being ungrateful or anything like that. You might not care about your reputation, but you can't just disregard it, especially now that you're a father. Do you want your son to grow up hearing such rumors? It would tarnish your image as a great father."
"You're right," Isaac conceded, rubbing his sore neck. Camila asked, "Is your neck bothering you?"
"Not really..."
“Let me massage it for you," she offered. Camila climbed onto the bed and knelt behind Isaac, positioning herself to better massage his shoulders. Her hands were surprisingly skilled.
Isaac found the experience relaxing and gradually closed his eyes.
"You're so slender. I didn't expect you to be so strong," he commented.
"It's not about strength," Camila replied as she worked on his tense muscles. "I just know where the pressure points are to relieve your fatigue and make you comfortable. You better treat me right for the rest of your life. If you ever cheat or wrong me, I could take you down without a trace."
Isaac's lips curved into a smile, tinged with affection. "I know you could, but killing me would leave you a widow."
"Then I'd just have to find another handsome man."
"You won't find anyone as handsome as me."
"Then I'll settle for slightly less handsome. As long as he's a man, that'll do..."
Suddenly, Isaac turned his head, his gaze deep as he looked at Camila. She met his intense stare and tilted her head playfully. "If you dare cheat on me, I'll do the same right away..."
Isaac leaned in closer, the mood light and teasing. Camila tried to slip away, but Isaac blocked her with his arm, pinning her playfully.
“The ugly ones don't deserve you," he said with a playful grin.
Camila met Isaac's gaze squarely. "The unattractive ones aren't so flighty," she asserted.
Isaac arched an eyebrow, radiating charm from his eyes and the subtle curve of his brows. “Am I flighty?" he inquired.
“Well, for now, you're not, but who's to say about the future..."
Issac leaned in, playfully nipping at her nose. "I promise you, I won't be."
Camila nudged him away, feigning offense. “Ouch, that hurts."
Isaac grinned at her, his captivating smile concealing a pair of sparkling eyes behind his thick, curled lashes. "Where does it hurt?" he teased.
