Chapter: 2145
Men couldn't grasp how deeply a woman cared about the flesh and blood she gave birth to!

"Why did you decide to leave now?" Hilaria queried.

Camila hadn't really thought about it.

When did she resolve to resign?

It must have been after she found out about her miscarriage.

Although she was infertile and couldn't conceive even without the miscarriage, she just couldn't help but feel guilty for Isaac.

He longed for a daughter.

But she couldn't fulfill that desire.

"Camila, why don't you say something?" Hilaria urged as she stood and approached Camila, filling a glass with wine. "Is there something you're keeping from us?"

Opting for juice, Camila replied, "I'll stick with this; I don't drink alcohol."

With a gentle squeeze of Camila's hand, Hilaria probed further, “You're about to leave, yet you still refuse to share your innermost thoughts with us?"

Appearing slightly tipsy, Hilaria insinuated, "Or maybe you just don't like us..."

Camila frowned, taken aback. "What are you talking about?"

Facing the group, she asserted, "I respect each one of you deeply. Your quiet dedication to our field has not gone unnoticed."

"So why not open up to us as you prepare to depart?" Hilaria pressed, handing her the glass. “Let's settle this today. No need for awkwardness."

ALL eyes turned to them, watching the exchange.

Camila was at a loss, unsure how to decline gracefully.

Feeling cornered, she reluctantly accepted the glass.

Hilaria raised her glass.

"A toast to our friendship and the times we've shared."
