Chapter: 2383
"It doesn't matter," Morrison replied.
“We're not far from home. I can walk back alone," Laura suggested.
Morrison insisted and said, “I'd rather drive you."
Laura gave a small smile and took his arm, feeling safe by his side.
Once home, Laura took the baby into her arms.
Morrison kissed her forehead and said, "I'll return as soon as I can."
“Okay," Laura said softly.
After Morrison left, Laura busied herself cleaning the house while Honey slept.
When the baby woke up in the afternoon, Laura washed her and changed her diaper.
She then breastfed her.
Laura cradled the baby, leaning to the side.
Honey fell asleep while eating.
Laura gently patted Honey.
She hadn't slept well the previous night and fell asleep lying on the bed.
She wasn't sure how long she had slept.
When she groggily awoke, Morrison was sitting by her side.
She rubbed her eyes and asked, "When did you get back?"
“Just now."
Laura rose from the bed.
"Did they have a task for you?" she asked.
