Chapter: 2496
“Okay." Camila nodded, catching up to Forrest with the bag.
He was already a good distance ahead.
“Wait for me!" she called out.
Forrest turned, his brow furrowed as he saw her struggling with the bag. “I told you, I'll buy everything.”
"Money isn't the issue," Camila countered. "The baby needs these things now. You wouldn't know what formula is safe or healthy, and where would you find time to buy them at a moment's notice?"
Forrest remained silent, a grudging acceptance settling over his features.
"She's too young. Let's find a hotel first," Camila said, hailing a taxi.
Forrest conceded with a nod.
Back in the car, Camila used her phone to find a nearby hotel suitable for them and the baby.
Adults could adjust, but the Little one needed a safe and comfortable environment.
Their search yielded a promising option. "Driver, this hotel, please,"
Camila instructed, showing him the address on her phone.
The driver recognized it instantly. "On our way."
The car pulled up to the hotel a short while later.
Camila handled the check-in, booking two rooms. "One night for now. I'll visit Aldrin tomorrow."
“Sounds good."
“Give me the baby. You might be a little rusty at this," Camila teased gently.
"But I'll learn." Forrest hesitated, reluctant to relinquish his hold on the child.
After settling the baby's belongings, Camila turned to Forrest. "Did Laura tell you about Morrison?"
Forrest paused, then gave a curt nod.
