Chapter: 2523
He was adamant about not trivializing the idea of children's marriages.

Respect for their autonomy was paramount; there would be no premeditated plans for his boys.

"It's not a big deal," Forrest countered casually.

After all, his daughter was already living under the same roof as Isaac's two sons. They would grow up together, forming bonds as childhood companions.

Isaac's reluctance was irrelevant as long as his boys were amenable to the arrangement.

Reflecting on his daughter and Isaac's youngest son, he mused that they might make a good pair.

Similar in age, they could attend school together, play together, and, crucially, the boy could protect his daughter.

“Perhaps we should consider martial arts training for Bowen," Forrest suggested, thinking of ways to enhance his daughter's safety.

Isaac's patience thinned. “Keep pushing, and I might just have to show you the door," he warned.

Just what did Forrest think of Joe?

A bodyguard?

He wanted the boy to learn martial arts so he could protect his daughter later on?

Isaac snorted inwardly.

Unless his son was interested in martial arts, there was no way he would tell him to do it.

"Your daughter is still an infant, Forrest. You're thinking too far ahead of her future. Relax," Camila teased, walking over and tapping him on the shoulder.

Forrest sighed. "I know, but my daughter is bound to meet some guy when she's old enough. And if I could choose for her, I would want it to be any of your sons. At least I know his parents and can rest assured that you will take care of her. If she becomes your daughter -in-law, you will treat her as your daughter for Laura's sake, right?"

Camila didn't know whether to laugh or cry at that.

Forrest's daughter was still very young, but he was already talking about marriage.

And being a mother-in-law...

That was in a very distant future.
