Chapter: 1628
Without wasting a moment, Sonia dialed Sarah and asked, “I saw you at the maternity ward in the hospital. What's going on? Are you pregnant?"

Sarah didn't sound too thrilled on the other end. After exchanging a few words with Sonia, she said, "I can't lay it all out over the phone right now. Why don't you and Ariana swing by my place tonight?"

Sonia agreed and quickly texted Ariana to meet up later that evening.

Time was ticking. After ending the call, Sonia hastily started her car. Just as she was backing the car, she bumped into the car behind her.

Stepping out of the car, Sonia caught sight of a black vehicle.

Instantly, she recognized it as a luxury Maybach, a rare edition.

As Sonia inspected the scratch, a figure emerged from the Maybach.

She glanced up to meet the gaze of an exceptionally handsome man clad in a suit. His tall stature, pronounced features, and slightly long hair made him stand out, even behind sunglasses. He exuded an unmistakable charm.

The sight of him made Sonia's heart skip a beat, as if a romantic film scene was coming to life before her eyes. She couldn't help but daydream a brief, vivid storyline.

The man gave her a cool glance and uttered a series of numbers.

Taken aback, Sonia gazed at him, baffled. After a brief pause, she asked timidly, “Is this... your phone number? Are you giving me your contact details?"

Maxwell Collins raised an eyebrow and took off his sunglasses, revealing his piercing blue eyes. With a slight smirk, he clarified, "That's the compensation amount."

“Damn it!" Sonia muttered to herself, her initial admiration fading.

That long number was nearly as lengthy as a phone number. Did she really have to pay that much?

Sonia examined the spot where they had collided, noticing it was no bigger than a fingernail. Besides, it was he who had parked his car improperly. How could he ask her to pay him that much?

Sonia didn't hesitate to defend herself, and soon, they were arguing in the street.

Maxwell struggled with the local dialect, his words tinged with an accent. His scolding was a jumble of languages.

Sonia couldn't make sense of his words, but his frustration was clear.

She stood her ground and shot back fiercely.

Eventually, the traffic police arrived. After understanding what happened, they issued a citation and a stern warning to the responsible party. They also mediated with the insurance companies to settle the dispute.
