Chapter: 1121
‘ourth place, Lyman."

‘ifth place, Maria.

"Sixth place, Vivian."

The popularity ranking results came out shortly after, with Darren winning the audience‘s heart.

Julie noticed that Maria and Vivian, who were decidedly unfit in the field of science, were the least popular in this part.

Meanwhile, the three regular guests took advantage of their positions in the show and did not hold back with their questions.

Julie was dismayed with the whole situation, but it was the scientists themselves who had picked out which guest to entertain. Even the production team could not be blamed for this.

To make matters worse, however, several unfriendly voices appeared on the comments section of the live stream, seemingly from out of nowhere.

“It's a good thing that Maria didn’t get the chance to ask a question. I mean, given her educational background, or lack thereof, who knows what kind of stupid question she would ask these renowned geniuses?”

“They say that true beauty is not skin deep. Anyone with eyes can see that Maria is nothing more than a trophy beauty. The scientists must have recognized it at a glance, that's why they didn't bother wasting everyone's time on her.”

“Well, the show is still fantastic with or without Maria. Besides, the production team has never been known to target and bully any of the guests. If you ask me, some people are simply bad in their performance. Naturally, there's no need for them to appear much on the show."

Julie was outraged by these new comments.

Just yesterday, most of the viewers were fawning over Maria and singing her praises. Why did they suddenly have a change of heart?

“why is this happening?" Julie muttered under her breath.

Was this what people were reduced to nowadays?

Were they all just fence-sitters, who had no qualms about switching sides in the blink of an eye?

Still, how could their opinions change all of a sudden?

Julie's thoughts were still racing when she heard Anthony speak beside her.

“Don't get so worked up. These netizens were just paid to say those things."

"What?" Julie asked, whipping her head to gape at him. "What does that mean?”

It took a moment for her to register his words. She gasped as she realized that she had almost been baited by those online trolls.

Anthony nodded emphatically.

“They aired the edited version of the show and mobilized the trolls to steer the tide of public opinion. It's not that surprising. This underhanded tactic is quite common in the entertainment circle."

With that said, Anthony took out his phone once again.
