Chapter: 1136
Maria continued, "This milk was produced in the village on the outskirts of Sheffield. The cows that yield this milk were not confined to stalls and fed fodder. These cows were grazed around the village by children and old folk. They were allowed to run free and feed off the rich grasslands. They drank water from the mountain springs and ate wild berries. Hence the quality of the milk is superior. The village produces a sort of natural wild berry which is bitter and unpalatable but has an excellent detoxifying effect. Because these cows consume a lot of these berries, the milk they produce is very effective in detoxification."
The corners of Elma's mouth twitched nervously as she listened to the scientific explanation.
How could the milk of an unknown countryside brand be so good?
Maria must be talking bloody nonsense! Elma didn't buy it at all.
But then, she suddenly noticed that Judy was no longer pale. She had gotten some color back in her cheeks and she actually seemed to be feeling better.
“Judy, go and induce vomiting in the restroom!" Maria instructed.
“Okay."
Judy nodded and hurried to the restroom.
A few minutes later, she returned.
"Slowly open your mouth," Maria urged.
“Ah
With the help of her phone's flashlight, Maria examined Judy's throat. She was pleased to note that most of the poison had been removed.
“Call the hospital again and tell them that we no longer require the services of the ambulance," Maria said authoritatively.
“What? Really? Does that mean that she is able to sing?" Francis asked with mixed emotions.
Maria shook her head and replied, “Not yet. Her throat still needs time to heal."
Elma breathed a sigh of relief when she heard that Elma was still incapacitated.
Since Judy wasn't able to sing, and Hanna and Rylee had been assigned to sing for the documentary, did this mean that she would be awarded the opportunity to sing the interludes and the final song of Female Military Counsellor?
With this thought backing her goal, Elma smiled and said, are fine, Judy. You really scared me!"
‘m glad you
“Really?”
Maria cast a cold glance at Elma.
“Although the ambulance is not needed, we will need the police now," Maria added.
“Why? What's the matter?" Elma asked, feeling nervous on the inside. "It's obvious that Judy was poisoned by someone here. Do you think I will let the criminal off the hook so easily?" Maria's question was rhetorical.
Elma swallowed hard and asked "Then... do you know who the culprit is?"
