“Quite a few years ago, I had some fun with Wasteland. It's been a while since I last checked in." Maria's response was forthright.

Jenny was taken aback. "Few years ago? Could that be the first edition? According to reviews, that version is the most challenging yet."

Obviously, she didn't see Maria as some kind of elite gaming veteran. Maria, she reasoned, had played Wasteland before, back when she was a newbie, but she gave up because of the game's extreme difficulty.

All of a sudden, Jenny leaned forward and said ominously, "I have privileged knowledge, Maria. We will be visited by the Yeez Entertainment E-sports Department this afternoon!"

Yeez Entertainment's E-sports Department, was also known as the Yeez Team.

As the squad captain, Darren Bennett was in charge.

He was the greatest Wasteland player and the top domestic online player!

Darren was the first free player to get widespread recognition three years ago, just after Wasteland's public beta launched. Later, he secured a deal with Yeez Entertainment's professional gaming division.

He advanced from a backup to the team's core in only one year. The Yeez Team, under his direction, eventually became the best in the world at Wasteland.

Survival in the Wasteland required players to acquire land, create fortifications, and improve their arsenal in order to fend off waves of zombies and other mutated monsters.

The Yeez Team under Darren‘s command had accomplished several feats, like being named the greatest stronghold defenders, having the most advanced weapons, and killing the most foes.

With their M249 sub-machine guns, Barrett sniper rifles, and other contemporary fire weaponry, Darren and his colleagues quickly killed the zombies in great numbers while the other players were still using bows and stones to defend themselves.

Darren was deserving of his status as the industry's biggest name in competitive gaming. His Facebook fan base even surpassed that of some A-list celebrities.

“Our crew is being visited by members of the Yeez Team. Maybe even Master Darren will show up."

Jenny let out a giddy Laugh as Darren's name was brought up.

“Darren... Master? Him?" Maria seemed confused and caught up in the title, which prompted a scowl from her.

“You heard me!“ Jenny responded thoughtfully, adding, “The fact that Darren is the best player in all of the e-sports is a fact that has been verified by the production team of Wasteland. Despite his repeated denials, I think it's because he's too humble to admit it."

Maria pursed her lips and chose to say nothing.
