Chapter: 1594
Raymond had just assumed control of the family's affairs, and his next objective was to become the rightful heir to the Wilson family.

How could he willingly accept such an offer?

"You... Just refrain from discussing trivial matters. You mentioned securing a doctor, correct? Where is the doctor? I am eager to witness someone who can rival Dr. Rivera of Broome Medical University."

Raymond quickly changed the topic, using Marilyn as an excuse.

However, the moment Raymond concluded his words, faint footsteps drew nearer from the direction of the door.

Anthony wore a smile.

He didn't require a glance to recognize those elegant footsteps, akin to a supermodel strutting down a runway, as belonging to his beloved girlfriend.

As expected, the newcomer was Maria.

“Why her, Anthony? Are you kidding? What sort of physician is Maria?"

Raymond expressed both annoyance and amusement.

Marilyn, too, was surprised.

She hadn't expected Maria, a top-tier celebrity, to be the doctor Anthony had mentioned.

Marilyn certainly knew Maria. After all, Maria was incredibly famous.

However, Maria's renown had little connection to the field of medicine.

At the very least, Marilyn had never encountered the name "Maria" associated with the medical profession, national or international.

Despite her doubts, Marilyn feigned ignorance about Maria.

"Is this young lady here to assume my responsibilities in taking care of Mr. Michael Wilson? I've assembled a preliminary diagnostic report regarding his condition. I recommend you peruse it. Please don't hesitate to ask for my help if you have any doubts or questions."

After Marilyn finished her words, she produced a stack of documents.

The very first page of the documents brimmed with a multitude of pathological images and professional data. Marilyn had indeed conducted an initial assessment of Michael.

However, this pathological report was entirely in a foreign language.

ALL textual descriptions, including Michael's name, were composed in a foreign language.

“Oh, I'm so sorry!" Marilyn seemed to recollect something suddenly, her countenance reflecting self-reproach.

“I've been engrossed in composing a special article for the foreign magazine, given its international readership. Do you comprehend the contents of this report?"

Marilyn's self-blaming expression and thoughtful inquiry had impressed Raymond.
