Just then, an elegant figure came up to them.

It was none other than Maria.

“You! What are you doing here?" Raymond asked. He was completely surprised to see her there.

“How did you come in? Who let you in without my permission?"

He had absolutely no idea that Maria was coming today. What in the hell just happened? How dare she break into his home!

"Shut up! What are you blabbering about? I gave her a key and asked her to come chat with me any time she was free. Do you have a problem with that?" Michael asked as he kicked Raymond in the leg.

With a bright smile on her face, Maria walked to Michael's side and said in a soft voice, "Nice to meet you again, Mr. Wilson."

Hearing that, Michael couldn't help but let out a chuckle.

"Oh, come on, sweetheart! Call me Michael instead."

Michael didn't want Maria to be too polite to him. He even asked Maria to call him Michael instead of Mr. Wilson.

It seemed Michael appreciated Maria and might deem her as his future granddaughter-in-Law!

Raymond, Jaxon and Marilyn were somehow stunned when this idea popped into their heads.

“What brings you here?" Raymond asked Maria with a serious tone.

“I came to do a follow-up check for Mr...." Maria's words were cut off by Michael's sudden coughing.

Maria quickly adjusted her phrasing.

“I'm here to check up on how Michael's recovery is going."

Marilyn and Jaxon couldn't help but smirk inwardly.

A checkup? They knew Michael didn't want to run a checkup and desperately evaded any talk related to medical matters and aging.

While Marilyn and Jaxon reflected on this, they heard Michael say, “Alright, thanks, dear. You're such a lovely girl. You've been putting in a Lot of effort on my recovery. I haven't been feeling my best these past few days... You come just at the right time..."

What the hell? Jaxon, Marilyn, and Raymond all had a mental chorus of disbelief.
