Chapter: 423
Patricia was wearing a V-neck black tulle dress, paired with delicate makeup to cover the traces of time on her face.

While they walked around the venue, Patricia held onto Bill's arm. If people didn't know them, they would easily regard them as a couple.

In fact, Bill was good looking. However, he wasn't practicing much self-discipline and abstinence. Therefore, he got a little fat and bloated over the years

"Mr. Jenkins, why do your wife and daughter look so familiar? Are they superstars?"

“Ha-ha! Thanks for the compliment, but my daughter is not yet there. Well, she is indeed an excellent actress and on the way to making a bigger name."

Bill acted like a typical businessman at the banquet. He soon made friends with several people from big and wealthy families in Broome.

Although Bill could be called successful, his wealth was actually not enough to easily make friends with these juggernauts

However, when they heard that his invitation was a personal gift from the Smith family in Broome, they immediately treated him differently.

Seeing that these guests seemed to have misunderstood the relationship between Patricia and her father, Vivian had the urge to explain.

But she soon noticed that her father and Patricia weren't trying to correct them. Instead, they just kept talking with a smile, enjoying the attention that they were getting.

“Well, they must have their own considerations. They're adults. They should know what they're doing..." Vivian mumbled to herself as she shrugged her shoulders.

"Besides, Aunt Patricia is very kind to me, almost treating me like her own daughter. I don't have to question every little detail that's going ont"

With a smile on her face, Vivian approached Patricia from the other side and held her arm. The three of them walked side by side, as if they were a real family. They instantly attracted envious looks from other guests from time to time.

Finally, on behalf of the Smith family, Boden had arrived.

As soon as he entered the venue, he saw the three from a distance. He was stunned for a moment, feeling that it was kind of strange and inappropriate.

"Why would Uncle Bill act so intimate with Miss Hughes? Does Aunt Julie know about this?"

Boden furrowed his brows, slightly tilting his head.

“But Aunt Julie did tell me that Miss Hughes is her best friend. Besides, they're old enough to be doing irresponsible stuff. Maybe I'm thinking too much into it."

After thinking for some more, Boden finally made his peace with it, not taking the matter seriously.

After all, Vivian was also there, holding onto Patricia's arm. Boden only assumed that they really had been close to each other through all these years that they almost consider themselves a family as well.
