Chapter: 469
“Yes, I do."
“Have you heard of another web-writer who goes by the pseudonym, Polly?”
“The name does ring a bell."
Julie smiled as she looked at the phone screen.
Her spirits were uplifted a lot because Maria had responded to her message almost immediately.
“Maria, have you read Mia's novel, Female Military Counsellor and Polly's Song of Phoenix?”
“I've read Female Military Counsellor but I haven't read Song of Phoenix."
Maria's answer met Julie's expectations.
Mia was a well-know, mysterious writer, with fans distributed throughout the world.
However, Vivian had only started writing the Song of Phoenix just a few months ago.
Not many people knew her, or heard of her, let alone read her books After some serious contemplation, Julie decided not to tell Maria that
Polly was actually Vivian.
This was Vivian's private matter and Julie never liked to pry into anyone's personal affairs so she kept mum about Vivian's secret identity.
She just selected a few screenshots of the news suspecting Vivian of plagiarism and sent them to Maria.
“I happened to see these news articles. Do you think the argument against Polly's plagiarism has any basis?"
She told a lie to her adopted daughter, Maria, so she blushed with shame.
“I'm not sure if it's a product of plagiarism since I've never read it."
Julie was surprised by her answer
But she accepted that Maria had given a responsible reply.
Julie asked half-seriously, half casually, “Would you like to read it to see if the author really plagiarized?"
