Chapter: 874
This man was not a star-rated writer, but he was an old employee of the Writers' Association.
He knew that the majority of these college kids were usually backed by one-star writers.
With his status in the Association, he could stand with the two-star writers on the same level. He couldn't let the insolence of one-stare writers go. What more of their students?
“We're sorry about this. We'll leave now."
Enzo hid his disappointment and anger, and acted like a president of the student union would.
He knew that offending the people who worked in this Association was the Last thing they ought to be doing. Being right or wrong didn't matter. It was always best to apologize and respect those who were superior to them.
Of course, it was embarrassing to be kicked out of the activity site before it even started, and he was equally sad that they wouldn't watch the activity, but he had to think wisely.
“Come on, Maria. Let's go," Enzo said to the girl that was still standing still.
He was still smiling, but his eyes were trying to persuade Maria to follow them.
If they offended the staff anymore than they already had, and they held a grudge against them, they wouldn't be able to attend even as volunteers next year.
Maria understood how they must feel, but she didn't move.
Instead, she folded her arms and tilted her head at the man.
“What right do you have to drive us away?" This got the man even angrier.
“You should know your place, young Lady!
You are only volunteers. No one forced you to work here.
Don't take my kindness for granted just because I decided to let you go instead of dealing with you accordingly. I'm just doing my job by asking irrelevant people to leave the site," the man answered her with a mocking smile at the corner of his Lips.
Naturally, the volunteers were greatly hurt by his words and actions, but they also despised him for being so arrogant.
“If I understand this correctly, you can't control us if we are not volunteers and if we have the qualifications to enter the site and observe, right?" Maria said, confusing the man.
“Well... Yes... But you don't have the qualification, do you?" the man retorted smugly.
“Just a minute, okay?"
With a small smile, Maria turned to the volunteers and took their names.
Enzo and the others were both depressed and confused, but they didn't see anything wrong in giving Maria their names.
Although they didn*t know what Maria wanted to do, they thought it was worth the shot and answered her honestly.
After confirming everyone's name, Maria found Curt's number and called him.
